General Announcements for December 2011

 

 

·         Last year saw the successful beginning of CEU trainings offered once each quarter and will be continued this year.  There will be a notation on the schedule of meetings to indicate which meeting is for CEU’s.

 

·         Also last year the coalition sponsored its’ first annual “Celebrate Recovery Picnic” during recovery month, which was a huge success, and will be continued this coming September.

 

·         This year the coalition will endeavor to establish a scholarship fund for students planning to enter the field of Alcohol and Drug Treatment.  The January 12,  2012 meeting will select the scholarship committee who will set the parameters for applicant qualification and selection.  That meeting will be convened at 12:00 pm in The San Pedro Alano Club located on the corner of 20th Street and Pacific Avenue.

The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence-South Bay (NCADD- South Bay) is proud to support the Support Alcohol-Free South Bay Youth initiative which is designed to counteract the problem of underage drinking in the community.
